Account Director – Public Affairs, Energy  

A fantastic opportunity to join a national a communications agency that continues to grow from strength to strength.  You will be responsible for the following :

• Use your knowledge of the energy sector to develop the team around you and inspire them to produce high quality work.
• Own a client development plan for key clients and take accountability for its delivery.
• Lead on  new business pitches.
• Build client loyalty and  ensure the client services team are doing the same.
• Maintain a thorough and in depth understanding of politics, policy and media landscapes.
• Keep up with growth and innovation in the communications industry.  
• Raise your own profile within the industry as a leading practitioner.

To be considered for the role, you will have the following :

• A track record of working within the UK’s energy sectors – gained through previous in-house or agency roles.
• Integrated communications issues – including public affairs, campaigns, and issues management.
• Experience in creating and delivering communication strategies that secure strong, measurable commercial results for the client taking accountability for selling these results back into key client contacts.
• Experienced in providing senior counsel to clients and foster senior client relationships.
• A network / experience of working with key political decision makers and influencers and the energy trade / national media.
• Proven ability to identify and close new business opportunities.
• Comfortable representing the business on industry panels and conference platforms.
